Does Airtel really care for their loyal customers. Me being a user a from past 5 years the blunt reply is no.They really don’t care. Hence they should not take pride in such a claim.

I shifted to Bangalore around 4.5 years back. I was looking for a connection which maybe a little expensive but reliable. This was to be my single point of contact. After doing a little research and asking consulting friends, I was made to believe Airtel is a bit expensive but offer better services. At that time since reliable connection was my salient point I went for an Airtel connection.

Our office had real good corporate plans from Hutch, but none from Airtel. Reason – Airtel wants high volumes and they are not interested in small volumes. Second their service is so good anyone would buy them even if it is for a higher cost. I was one among them ready to pay that extra cost. Three years (2005 – 2007), Airtel service was just satisfactory, felt nothing better than hutch or Vodafone. Then came 2008 and the service started deteriorating. Finally came the time since Aug 2008 not only service went from OK to BAD, but started getting call drops. Which means call drops every 2-3 secs (note not minutes seconds ), and they would charge me 1 Rupee for each of these calls.I called customer service . The reply received was a standard answer – “We will log a complaint and we will address you problem in 24 working hours.” It is June 2009 very soon it will be a year and nothing has changed .On an average I am paying minimum 1500 Rs sometime even close to 2000 Rs all for no fault of mine. Airtel charges me for 1 sec 1 rupee. Constant calls to Airtel only will receive a standard answer “We are improving our service and going for 3 G, the problem will be very soon rectified.” However I have come to conclusion, they are doing this on purpose to shift customers to 3G. And probably introduced call drops to earn them higher revenue for laying their infrastructure.

This is not a problem with me alone.I went and checked with many other people. Many of they have shifted to other providers or shifted to prepaid option and use another service for outside calls.

Also towards the 2008 , our office managed to get a corporate offer not very good but better than individual plan. When I contacted the person, I was told such a connection can be given only if you take a new number. We are all are aware, such cannot be the case. They should give us the new plan in the same number , but since it will not get credited to his account he does not want to do this service to us.

Let me know if there are others with the same problem.I am just waiting for the same number different provider scheme to come.Else shift to a new provider.For now I am opting for a BSNL line.I am providing a snapshot of the bill for validity of this data.

Recently RBI has issued a notice to all the

banks in India that  1000Rs Notes starting with 2AQ and 8AC are fake notes. These notes are of high quality manufactured  faculties in and around  Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi. They are so much sophisticated that even bank persons will not be able to tell you whether original or duplicate. even they pass UV test.

Only way to Identify the fake notes is to check the security strip. always security strip will  be divided 6 parts not more or not less. In Fake notes which are circulated by Pak are having 7 to 8 parts.

Beware! next time when you are withdrawing money from ATM, check for the series and the security strip.

Watermark

This is seen on empty portion on the left side of the note. Hold note against the light. One should be able to see a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi in this space, along with multi-directional lines and an electrolyte mark showing the denominational numeral (i.e.100, 500, etc)

Micro-lettering

-Hold the note at eye-level. Look into the gap between the vertical band on the right and the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. In genuine notes, one should be able to see the word RBI and the denominational numeral in this space.
-Hold the bank note horizontally, with the right vertical band facing you. One should be able to see a latent image of the denomination.
-Hold the note up against light. On the left of the portrait and half down the vertical band on the side, one can see a floral design, which appears hollow on the front side and filled up on the opposite side. The denominational numeral can be seen as a whole in this floral design, though the half of the numeral is printed on one side and the other half on the opposite side.

Identification marks – This is to help the visually impaired to identify the denomination

See below the floral design. One can see a dark patch in intaglio print (raised print). The shape of the intaglio print varies according to the denomination of the note. Different shapes for various denominations (Rs 20 – vertical rectangle, Rs 50 – square, Rs 100 – triangle, Rs 500 – circle and Rs 1,000 – diamond) are available.

Other features that appear in intaglio print

1. Seal of the RBI
2. The guarantee and the promise clause
3. RBI Governor’s signature
4. The Ashoka pillar emblem
5. Mahatma Gandhi portrait
Intaglio print is absent on a fake note. Features 2,3 will be showing a lot of differences in case of a fake note.

Security thread

It is 1.4 mm wide. It appears in breaks on the front of the original note. However, from the back, it looks like a complete line. The words RBI and Bharat (in the Devanagari script) inscribed on it. Appears yellow in ultra-violet ( UV) light. This thread will not glow if its a fake note. Continuity of the security thread is not maintained if its a fake note.

Other features seen on Rs 500 or Rs 1,000 note. Look for colour changes

Hold onto a Rs 500 or Rs 1,000 note. The colour of the numeral will change from green (when you hold the note flat) to blue (when it is held at an angle).

What features one can see in UV light?

1. The optical fibres on the bank note make themselves visible when held under ultraviolet light. In case of a fake note, optical fibres are less in number.
2. The year of printing of the original note should also be visible in the middle and the reverse side near the bottom.
3. Genuine note is made of a fibre, which has a “unique feel” and “a crackling sound.” These features are seen with the notes that were released after 2005.

What to do if you come across a fake note?

If you get a fake note from an ATM, take it back to the branch from where you initially got it. Provide the time of the transaction, the amounts involved and the denominations . The bank may be able to trace the transaction.

How fake notes destroy a nation’s economy?

Duplicate currency is manufactured in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The fake notes are brought into India through Nepal by Pakistan’s ISI and other terrorist groups. The amount of fake Indian currency in existence today is huge. According to one national daily, in UP alone over Rs 40 crore is estimated to be in circulation. This might be the tip of the iceberg. The fake notes generate easy money for terrorists which use it for antisocial activities.
Politicians, experts, retired bureaucrats and media pundits keep quiet on this issue and don’t talk much as financial interests are involved in purchase of Japan made“ Komori” currency printing machines which are inferior to the Swiss made “ Giori” currency printing machines.

Good news for upendra’s fans, Uppi’s new kannada film is named London Gowda which will be start shooting in March. Speciality about this film is Uppi will write the screenplay and dialogues for the film, and the Sad part will be uppi is not directing it and the director is not finalized yet.

The story of London Gowda revolves around an illiterate chap in Mandya going to London and becoming a learned dude. So, it will have all the opportunities for Upendra’s usual mannerisms and histrionics. Sanjeev Darshan, son of a famous Bollywood music director Shravan (Nadeem-Shravan duo) will score the music for this film.

Other star cast is yet to be finalized. There is rumor that lucky movie fame aiswarya rai look like “Sneha Ullal” will be playing lead hereon against Upendra.
