If you are not an At&t customer, you can tell them that your uncle or any relative, purchased the phone from Craigslist and has afamily emergency and needs to fly overseas and would like to keep the phone so that when they get back, they can activate on At&t service. I have done this several times and always gotten the unlock code.
Im with you. I have the code (mine is eight digits) obtained from AT&T but my problem is that the Blackjack wont let me type certain portions of the instructions viewed here that were IDENTICAL to the instructions provided by AT&T. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

My issue is not unlock Sim card. My issue is I am a Rogers Mobile (Canada) cutomer with an AT&T phone. the phones internet settings and applications are locked up tight. i need them unlocked (again). i upgraded my phone and it locked up on me
