Those look delicious and really easy! I never thought to make these from scratch, but looks great. I’ll probably use honey instead of golden syrup since I don’t really buy golden syrup.

@jasongiddensviper478 Thanks mate – glad you’re enjoying it!

@TJ7075 They are similar, but the coconut and Golden Syrup give these a very different taste ;)

@Pearl696 If I had room for a second camera I’d probably consider it. But my kitchen benches weren’t really set up with that in mind. Besides, I like to focus on the food, instead of the guy playing with it hehehe

@MissRLA Let me know how they turn out :)

@ANIMEGIRL385 No need for egg, the butter and the syrup are enough to keep them together. Adding egg will only make the biscuits cakey – we want a bit of crunch :)

  9. OnePotChefShow December 11, 2010 at 12:18 am #

@pokemonfan200 Because Golden Syrup and Maple Syrup are totally different. Golden Syrup is made from Sugar Cane ;)

Hey mate. I noticed that you never added any eggs. I always thought that Anzac bikkies traditionally contained egg unless I misheard? Btw these look great. I am addicted to Anzac bikkies which is why I try to force myself to only eat 2 lol XDDD
Thanks for sharing greatly appreciated :D DD

@CbRoXiDe Anzac Biscuits are traditionally made for Anzac Day (April 25th) – it’s the Australian version of Remembrance Day ;)

Mr OPC, would be so kind as to tell me the reasoning behind making these biscuits in the month of April :) ?

  19. aurajinv December 11, 2010 at 12:18 am #

instead of white suagr brown sugar gives a more caramel taste.

also, you dont need to bother with a pot, just microwave the butter + g.syrup in the microwave.
