Betty’s Brown Sugar-Pepper Glazed Bacon Recipe

In this video, Betty demonstrates a Kentucky favorite, Brown Sugar-Pepper Glazed Bacon. Sweet and peppery, it is baked slowly in the oven, until the bacon is crisp and the flavor is superb! Ingredients: 1/2 cup flour 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) 1 pound thick-sliced bacon (I used 12 oz. regular “center cut” bacon.)     I only allow myself small portions–it’s that simple. Denying myself food doesn’t work for me, but as long as I get to taste everything, I’m good. I can just eat fruits and vegetables and protein for the rest of my food–no cravings!

    Hi Betty,
    These are so good! We use half a piece of the spiced bacon and roll up lil’ wienies
    or sausageand toothpick it to hold. It’s a good appetizer.
