    Hello Chef,

I made this for dinner tonight and we loved it. This recipe is definitely a keeper. The only thing I did different is that I served it over Jasmine rice instead of brown.

    Thanks for sharing!

this is a very tasty non deep fried version of orange chicken. cooking is about making tasty food not worrying about staying withing these imaginary restrictions some pple try to place on food. this recipe also can be mucked around with alot , instead of brown sugar one time try honey, maybe add some oyster sauce etc …… pple need to have fun with what they cook. ps this recipe is great except I prefer to add my zest when add my garlic

    Screw you guys!
This guy in the video didn’t say he’s doing it better then you. He’s just having fun cooking some stuff, -and you know what?-
he’s actually good at it(having fun). Now -don’t be offended -but cooking should be fun and for everyone.Yes he’s not chinese and probably he never went to china either but the chinese went to america and brought their food and culture with them. At least this guy is ready to learn something from someone else.

WTF! He’s simply trying to make an Asian dish. This is not hamburger tutoriaI. However, I’m sure you could make a better Southwest Chicken Sandwich.

BTW…If your going to express your candor on an American, please make sure you grammer is up to par!!

I think the Vietnamese style of orange chicken is way better though, however is a little less healthy. Anyway, I’m off to do some cooking :)

The stuff I was talking about, it is totally different from what is served in a Mongolian BBQ….if you are talking about the kind that has the big circular grill in the middle. I am sure that what I am thinking of is strictly a Chinese dish. I find it most at buffets.

  22. ChefTips December 26, 2009 at 11:05 pm #

When I was about 15, my grandmother took me to our local Mongolian BBQ restaurant. The Mongolian beef was outstanding! I have not yet been able to duplicate anything close to that.

    Thanks for the kind words.

    Cheers!

You can add thinly sliced onions to this in a medium amount also….yum.

Mongolian pork and beef is beyond awesome. If you continue with exploring chinese, I suggest the pork next.
