The Real Santa Claus

The Christmas spirit is embodied by those who selflessly sacrifice their time, energy, safety and lives so that we may enjoy ours. Merry Christmas to all, and best wishes in 2010.

    i just love all your videos. i hope they somehow make people really THINK about the world we’re living in and stop being blinded by nonesense.
    Pity in my country there are not so many people who would sacrifice their holidays to save others.
    Merry christmas and happy new year…

    And what makes you the subject matter expert in these matters? Have you been there? Do you really know what goes on?

  4. mjiwmyfe December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    what is this? crash?

  5. eswyatt December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    It’s about time. The attitude that having Christmas off was a basic human right always annoyed me.

    Beautiful video, CDK007. :)

    especially those in emergency medicine.

    if you tried to make a list you’d never get done. but a lot of the things you mentioned aren’t terribly noble, and often aren’t a sacrifice.

    Fun…I was the 1,666 rating. Five Star video man! I’m one of the doctors working on Christmas, for what sometimes seems jto be ust to placate thankless people in search of vicodin. Its always nice to get a thanks!

    If you’re in the military you should read “Crossing The Rubicon” and then watch “The Money Masters”. You might think alot differently on what is actually going on. I whole heartedly believe the intent on who would like to serve their country, but that doesn’t mean questions shouldn’t be asked about how it’s being done. I mean seriously, who really thinks we went into Iraq for all of the right reasons? Bush himself said 9/11 had nothing to do with it. Then why?

    Ok, sorry Id not noticed what youd written as a response here. But truthfully the only times that I can think of the military being used to make life better in my lifetime was when the Vietnamese army went into Cambodia to topple the Khmer Rouge and when the Indian army went into East Pakistan. Thats all. Nice video though, as always it made me think ;)

    Soldiers in the army, giving the gift of life and the joy of peace? Im not sure about that cdk007I think you may be mistaken.

  13. cdk007 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    I believe there would be far less peace in the world without our military. Yes, I do believe that.

    Has our military always been used in its best capacity, no, but that’s not the military’s fault, its the politicians. Without a military to defend and protect peace and freedom, the world would be a much more chaotic place.

  14. wonderwhaz797 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    The military gives us peace? Are you kidding me? They may protect, yet in the process of “protection”, the fighting begets more violence and fighting thus leading to a lack of protection, and using a weapon doesn’t equal a peaceful action. There is no peace through an act of war. Peace is peace, war is war. cdk007, I appreciate your videos on science, but to say that soldiers give us peace? Do you really believe this?

  15. wonderwhaz797 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    Not the military’s fault? Just because a politician tells you to go over to some nation and kill children doesn’t mean you have to follow along. Go to the brig. Let them put you in jail. Your first and last sentence is Big Brother, that’s all it is. When you try to protect peace, it doesn’t remain peace. We just become sheltered under a gun, a very neurotic way of living ensues. And there’s no such thing as a little or a lot of peace. Peace is whole, not fragmented like war is.

  16. wonderwhaz797 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    You see, your videos about science are clear, precise, and very informative, but otherwise you struggle like most of us do with being a whole person. Scientifically, you’re sound in what you talk about, but when it comes to matters of human relationship, there’s this divisive streak in you that says war is the answer. That’s mediocrity, going up the hill halfway. That’s my problem with many scientists and science buffs. They think, but they don’t feel. Science becomes their god.

    @wonderwhaz797

    who in their right mind would go to a country to kill childeren?

    And im sorry, but war is a part of human nature, mabe not war itself, but the competitions and love of power that cause it. I doubt we will get this “whole” peace during your life time or mine.

  18. Feralus69 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    @wonderwhaz797
    Who are you to say that there is a divisive streak in anyone that says war is the answer? What are you basing this assertion on? Do you know who you are talking to personally? Who are you to say people that believe in science and not god don’t feel?

  19. emprguy December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    @wonderwhaz797

    also, a military can only give relative peace, for example, Bin Laden was ignored early on by the US, but he didnt go away because they were nice. Instead his orginization caused 9/11.

    The military can’t stop All these attacks, but it helps.

    Ive seen footage of our military throwing explosives into someone’s sheep herd. Manipulating children to say derogative things. Degrading POWs. They hurt our image and demonize our missions. However, those are just a few hand full. It’s sad to know they are what make it to the press when we have so many honest military personal that risk life to protect us and, more often then not, others. In our world peace is maintained in violent ways. It’s the sad ugly truth.

    So you are religious cdk007

    Go figure!

  22. cdk007 December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    Didn’t say that either. But I do value family, and the holidays are traditionally a time when families come together. I feel to miss that for work is a sacrifice.

  23. pestmanpat December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    Well yeah but if your calling it christmas,if your buying presents,putting up a tree ect ect your taking part in a religious celebration. Why not ignore all that since you hate religion and you dont believe in the story of jesus virgin birth ect.

    It seems a little hypercritical to be attacking religion but taking part in religious activity.

    I would think you a victim of peer pressure perhaps.

  24. dancealittlemore December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    I think it’s silly people are trying to argue with you on this video just because of your other videos when this video is clearly trying to just send a positive vibe for the holidays. Happy Holidays mannnnnnnnnn

  25. pestmanpat December 24, 2009 at 3:48 pm #

    Oh by the way i agree with the sentiment of your video.
