@Fikisko Hi! Thanks for watching. I use Wilton Icing Color which is a concentrated gel that does not water down your icing. It produces deep, rich colors with a small amount…. better than food coloring in many cases. These take some time to make, but they are so worth it. Happy Holidays my dear friend! Hugs…

how come that food colouring just a drop of that changes it wildly

@terceldude Hi! Thanks so much for watching and writing in. I really appreciate it. You should be able to substitute the shortening with butter or margarine, although I have never done it in this particular recipe. You may also want to cut back on the salt a little. Have a beautiful day and thank you again for stopping by. Hugs to you and yours…

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:) but is there a healthier alternative to shortening I can use? :)

  6. bigzable January 20, 2011 at 4:19 pm #

This is not the type of video that I normally watch, but I enjoy your videos anyway. I think its because you have such a great smile and a winning, beautiful personality.

Ha ha, you are sweet. I really try to keep a watch on my weight, but it’s hard during the holidays and with having a cooking show. Everything in moderation, huh? Well, that and spending 30 -60 mins on a treadmill most days, lol. Thank you for the kind words. Big warm hugs to you and yours!

  17. haszK January 20, 2011 at 4:19 pm #
