Canada Northern House Entertainment Paralympics

Some entertainment at the Canada Northern House during the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics. From the Canada Northern House webpage ( www.canadasnorth.com ) Highlights of performances include appearances by Dana Sipos and Digawolf. Diga is a Tlicho (Dogrib) word meaning wolf. Digawolf (Jesse James Gon) is originally from the Tlicho community of Behchoko, Northwest Territories. He is a passionate guitarist who plays and sings with great respect for the land, the Tlicho culture and the elders. Digawolf was the winner of the 2005 Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for Best Male Artist and is nominated again this year for album of the year. Sipos is described as a “lyrical satirical poet,” She presents a compelling sound likened to the folk minstrels of yesteryear. She’s part politics, part poetry, part hip, part pop, with a dash of blues, hints of soul and a whole lot of heart.
