DISCLAIMER: Using any mods online (in matchmaking) will get you banned. If these mods are usable online, please DO NOT use them, for you will almost certainly get banned. These mods are meant to be for fun and for PRIVATE MATCHES ONLY. Tutorial made by Halo3Productions911 From Halo3Productions911: “Alright, this tutorial I made will show you how to modify (aka MOD) Halo 3 maps. It is very simple and we will end up making killable Masterchief clones. You’ll need an Xbox 360 Hardrive Transfer Kit and the following 3 programs: Xport 360 (or Xplorer 360), Forge (not Halo 3 Forge), and Concept, all of which are free and are provided at the bottom of this video description. However, the transfer kit is not free, but can be purchased using the appropriate link below. First create a map and place a few grenades (I made frags). Then save the map, turn off your Xbox 360, take out your HDD, and connect to your computer via the transfer kit. Then follow the instructions in the video pertaining to the programs used. NOTE: In the video you’ll notice a weird swirl or distortion. I purposely did that so you couldn’t see my gamertag. when you rehashed & resinged you need a key vault and if you have a xp computer you can not over right it you have to delete the usermap and drag the moded file in

@Mrclutch0016 Modding is safe as long as you don’t try it on Xbox Live (I doubt you could mod anything on Live this way but still). But I should clarify what modding I’m talking about.
I’d almost call this softmodding in a way. Not true to it’s meaning but this isn’t like adding a mod chip or changing the dashboard. Something that’s detected by Xbox Live. This is simply changing custom games up, nothing Microsoft/Bungie detects. Though I wouldn’t recommend sharing these variants on ur fileshare

@GoldModz Probably because you made some “unwanted” changes to whatever it was you were modding. I’ve had the same issue modding Halo CE with the Cache Editor and depending on what I change it may not load the mission. I’d assume the same thing applies here.
So it’ll be trial and error. See what works and what doesn’t.

Then after you extract to ur desktop create a folder or a backup with a copy of that file in it, and only mod the file on the desktop, once it’s fully modded and done, go back into USB XTAF GUI v32 beta 3 and delete the map in it, and inject (u can’t replace but this is exact same thing) the modded map, now usb into xbox and MOVE not copy that map into ur hdd so now u have the modded map there and load halo 3, if it fucks up, simple… usb back into computer, same program again and injectthecopy

DUDE easiest way to mod maps!!!
Have a usb thumb drive as a secondary hard drive, save ur map on halo 3 (on ur hdd) then on xbox 360 dashboard go to memory; then go into your hdd, find halo 3, find the named-saved map and COPY it to ur usb drive (it’ll make a halo 3 folder and the usermap in it itself) now u ONLY have THAT map u WANT to MOD on ur usb. Plug usb to computer, run USB XTAF GUI v32 beta 3 (latest), easy to navigate to ur halo 3 in ur profile, oly 1 file in it, THAT MAP, then extract!
