Weekly Address: The Olympic Spirit, the Spirit of Bipartisanship, and Health Reform

The President takes a moment to congratulate our Olympic athletes. Discussing the unity and pride Americans feel in cheering them on, the President relates that sentiment to his own desire for bipartisanship in Washington. He praises the bipartisan meeting days before and talks about moving forward on health reform. February 27, 2010.

@Extreme Here’s another one for you:
You’d think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Dept of the Interior, we now learn they’re planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West.

@Extreme How about this as an example of what Dear Leader has managed to do:

A study done by the Investigative Reporting Workshop found that 79 percent of the $2 billion in clean-energy grants allocated since Sept. 1, 2009, has gone to foreign wind companies.

@Trey But he manged to drag out the Depression recovery by a few extra years due to his policies. Some of you think FDR was one of the best, some of us don’t.

  4. mcv47 July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

@Extreme Hahahahaha. You really believe that don’t you? The liberal mind is a wonder to behold, indeed.

I have my own disagreements with the President, but overall he’s been an outstanding President and leader. He has always acted with class and respect, two words you won’t find in any Republican dictionary. Republicans simply have NO ideas, hence why they say NO to everything Obama wants to do: they only know if Obama is for it, they are against it, how simple minded can they be?

  6. buisyman July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

Really? you accuse repubolicans of revising history, after liberals changed enough in the history books to blame America for everything? You call us warmongers, too, don’t you? FDR didn’t get us out of the great depression, WWII did.

  7. imined July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

  8. TreyParkersBitch July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

And I can tell you’re an idiot by that response. Making a judgment about someone you’ve never met and never will based on their username on YouTube. You’re about as smart as these retards writing pages of comments and arguing about pointless bullshit. Or was that just an insult? Either way it was stupid. Go look up Trey Parker you can learn a thing or two…and I’d love to be his bitch. K Bye!

  9. imined July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

I think you need to go see an optomologist, then. Do you know who the leader of the Republican party is? Micheal Steele. A black man. A young black man. Before Maobama, what black leaders did the dems put forward? Presidentioal candidates like those idiots al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. No ereal inteligent black people before in the democratic party. Rep[ublicans got the better of that deal with Condeliza Rice and Colin Powel. They’d never have been allowed ing the Dem party, Too smart

  11. buisyman July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

really? Libs called bush a tyrant and worse. I guess that makes liberals traitors, by your definiton, now doesn’t it?

  12. MrLetfreedomring July 14, 2010 at 3:25 am #

There is no ‘revisionist history’ about it, its a proven fact that The Great Depression was not solved by FDRS -socialist – progressive- movement, rather it was WW2 that solved it, when Government had no choice but get out of the Way of Business so they could put America Back to work to win the War. Thats what got us out of the Great Depression.

I agree with your position that an increased bureaucracy is not the way to improve our country. I also agree that universal healthcare aka healthcare “reform” is not achievable or favorable in its current form. It goes against every grain of the Constitution. However, there is no reason to call the President “Dumbo”. That is disrespectful. State your argument and move along.

Fervent lips with a wicked heart, Are like earthenware covered with silver dross. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil. A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it, And a flattering mouth works ruin. Do NOT associate with those given to CHANGE. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Righteous exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people-Proverbs
FEAR NOT,GIVE TO THOSE WHO BEG YOU, PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMY- Jesus

@MrLetfreedomring the government didn’t step out of the way during WW2 …!!
they actually stepped in! for example by “telling” (oh yeah, they made them …. ) US automakers to change from building “cars”, to building “tanks”! and there were other thing where the gov. had to step in!

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that’s essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.
Way to concentrate on job CREATION!
