    I personally use task killer, but I ignore most of the important apps and services to not to interfere with what I’m going right now.

    @mraahh
    I use to do that and wanted to see if my phone would last me with the 3g on and it did..lasted me8 hours for the battery to be %60 , I agree with Ur method but I guess it depends on what phone and what apps your running

    Task killers will slowly kill your phone android has its own task killer that will close stuff when needed to free up memory

  8. MrJmoneyfresh January 17, 2012 at 9:45 am #

    does my phone need to be rooted for this

  9. mraahh January 17, 2012 at 9:57 am #

    honestly speaking, if you only turn on 3g when you need to access the internet your battery life will more than double. I got up around 7 for school today and now, 15.5 hours later, my battery is only down to 65%. Admittedly today was not heavy use, but if you can handle not having widgets automatically update, you will make it through every day on a single charge

    It has been proven by so many sites that task killers waste more battery then having hte programs run in standby mode. Once i took off task killer and other apps like this i only recharge my phone once a day when i get to work and lasts me till night listening to slacker/pandor and watching vids

    No, no, no… if you really want to save battery, what you’re going to need is an app such as Juice Defender. I use it and it my battery literally lasts *twice* as long! No BS.

    Just so you know if you actually talk to a sprint tech they will tell you not to use that app because it will actually open random programs.

    Hoe come when I use Advanced Task Killer it shows 147m in available memory but an exact day ago it was 210 and I haven’t dowloaded anything.

    The word “Hack” typically implies programming, and a generally a high skill with technology. Downloading an App is simple and casual-user level.

    @bluehaze013 additionally, you don’t need to set a shortcut to the app itself, advanced task killer has a widget that will remember which programs you don’t want running and remove them with 1 touch. :)

    title was so misleading

  22. MrLegendaryProdigy January 17, 2012 at 5:10 pm #

    lol the last thing an EVO needs is an app killer. it manages the applications by itself flawlessly

  23. dallas4yfe January 17, 2012 at 5:46 pm #
