I have found that JOICO works well for weaves. I did some research and found out that caucasian hair products work best for hair weaves. I went to Trade Secrets asking for Paul Mitchell because that was a well known brand. The salesperson recommended Joico for dry hair & I have been using it ever since. I have started using it fo my own hair too and I like it. Buy the small bottles the first time to make sure it works well for you.

I like the center part way better than the side part.

did you dye the hair to your color or put a rinse on it

  11. emesha06 September 4, 2010 at 4:42 pm #

you should use caucasian products on the hair, it just works better. Ganier Fructise has some really good shampoos and conditioner specific to the type of hair you have, i.e, curly or straight. Also try a reconstructor. Aphogee has a really good one…actually aphogee has great products period. I also use the leave in Pro-Vitamin conditioner on a regular basis along with water when I want it wavy.

I deep condition my Virgin Indian hair.
Actually, I’m deep conditioning it right now with ORS Replenishing Conditioner and it feels so amazing.
I put the conditioner in with some oils and put it in a plastic bag.
After that I tie the bag and leave it in hot water.

When you take it out you’ll see a difference. It feels amazing.

&& yes. Less is more when the hair is dry. It’s best to put any products you wanna put in it when it is wet.

drk and lovely ultra cholesterol its yellow and has a pink cover i use it for years and its great on hair even weaves

  16. QueenAshonti September 4, 2010 at 4:42 pm #

Nooooo! You should definitely deep condition your Indian hair. However, you don’t have to do that as often. I recommend maybe 2 or 3 times a month. If it’s 100% virgin deep conditioning should cause the hair no problems. I noticed that indianhairstore sales “Indian Remy” hair which in most cases mean that it’s going to react accordingly. There’s a big difference in how virgin Indian hair and Indian Remy hair react to products. I’m going to inbox you some more info to help you out a little!

Deep conditioning is best with your weave it will keep it from tangling.
Like someone else said I use ORS in a plastic bag then I do a ACV rinse(apple cider vinger). You use a tbsp of ACV and a cup of water then pour it over the hair and let it sit for a few mins and rinse it completely. It removes any build up on the hair and seals the curticle which seals in moisture and leaves the hair shiny. I do this on my hair as well.

  18. ladefizz September 4, 2010 at 4:42 pm #

Also, it’s tangling because the cuticles are not aligned.
It may feel good right now because you’ve done all that stuff but after a while it will tangle again.
Yes, it has to do with the way you treat the hair but it is more so the hair itself.
