Why would legalizing homosexuality make it alright to rape anyone. Rape would still be a crime. Why are you scared of becoming a gay, seems you are pretty unsecured about your sexual orientation.

The culture you are talking about now is a cocktail of hindu with heavy influence of muslim and old english culture.

The difference between my post and yours is I gave you facts you are giving me opinion.
What part are you disagreeing the fact that homosexuality is depicted on khajuraho temples or the fact that there are no harsh punishments for homosexuality in manu smriti. That was the ancient indian culture.
These are facts, you are either blatantly lying or ignorant if you disagree with it.
Those depictions are only fantasies. They even have depictions of humans having sex with animals, does that mean that beastality was allowed ? There are certain ethics that everyone must follow. I agree that people might be allowed to be homosexual for various reasons, but it was not appreciated and it was not punishable. Hinduism respects the laws of nature, and Homosexuality clearly goes against these laws.
The thing is I agree with Ramdev completely – But a bit off topic ..Why can’t he cure his eye defect if his Pranayama works wonders! Logical answer
Fantasies? Now you are just speculating. Who decides the ethics? You are saying its unethical because its convenient for you. That’s where the narrow mindedness comes. This reminds me of a famous quote by Niemoller.

Hinduism respects the laws of nature you say. “Parivartan sansaar ka hi neeyam hai.” Changes are the laws of nature. Why do you say its against nature? Its observed in animals, around 10% of population are homosexuals. That’s the beauty of nature.
Next you will say left handers are against nature. Do you know we left handers were condemned during the 19th century. That tells a lot about humans and how uncomfortable they are with someone who is different.
I dont have anything against left handers ..Thats the way they are. The left handers I know are straight, or at least claim to be.
I say that homosexuality is against nature because the purpose of sex is reproduction. I did not know 10% animals are homosexuals. In my opinion homosexuality is wrong.

Homosexuality should not be and is NOT a crime. According to me its unnatural and therefore wrong.. Something like a passive disease or a disorder. It isn’t illegal to be sick. Gay men are often more creative and intelligent than the straight ones, probably because they have to fight through a lot more to be themselves.
Straight Sex is recreation. Even if other methods are more pleasurable for some, they should be avoided.

If its a disease or not, I cannot say and frankly neither can you. You are clearly speculating by calling it a disease. It could even be a genetic disorder.

I’m not saying that its a disease and I’m not saying that homosexuals are criminals. I totally agree that it might be a genetic disorder. Baba Ramdev has claimed that he can “cure” it through yoga. It is well known that other things yoga cures are disorders, and hence homosexuality could be a disorder too.
I’m comparing this to your claim about depictions of homosexual sex on the outer walls of Hindu temples. These depections also signify that such thoughts must be left outside when one wishes to reach god (inside) the temple.
I mentioned that to state the culture of hindus in ancient India. It just shows homosexuality was accepted then. Yes, I agree it doesn’t necessarily mean it is right.

its strange to see people making such a big fuss over homosexuality’s legality or illegality when cannabis users, even medical users, are being imprisoned, jailed and sometimes even killed over a natural, practically harmless and useful herb in a variety of conditions (less beneficial than regular yoga though I am sure).
Personally, I think it makes as much sense to criminalize homosexuality, or any other private matter which does not harm others directly or with intention, a forgivable non-offense. So we need not waste space and resources locking such people up, be it prostitution, homosexuality or drugs.
Q: The male:female ratio in India is 10:8. And everyone want to have sex. What is the solution for 20 crore male, who do not have a woman?
